INSA has taken a major step towards extending its operations in America, by opening an office in Santiago de Chile, from where it will have a more direct and effective link to its customers there as well as in Central and elsewhere in South America.

INSA also took part in FIDAE, the International Air and Space Fair in Santiago de Chile from 31st March to 6th April, where it presented a vehicle equipped with a terminal for mobile satellite communications, or Satcom on the Move (SOTM) as it is also known. This mobile broadband communications concept eliminates the need to stop, deploy and align antennas before establishing a static communications link, and thereby considerably extends the response capacity of applications in the Defence field as well as for civilian use in emergency situations (ambulances, civil defence, etc.).
