INSA has recently been awarded with the contract by public tender for the modernisation of the CEDEA Control Centre, operated by the National Institute of Aerospace Technology. The CEDEA takes part in the preparation, monitoring, control, register and evaluation of the launch of scientific and technological research rockets as well as in the support of Spanish and foreign armies.

The Centre is equipped with modern radar, telemetry equipment,optronics and radio communications systems.The data and signals registered are transmitted to the Control Centre, processed in real time and utilised to improve sensor pointing precision as well as to perform the trajectographic analysis of the experiment. The Centre performs exercises with sounding rockets and balloons, evaluation and support upon missile reception, evaluation of air and surface armament, firing instruction, tests with unmanned aircraft and airplanes, etc.

The project will make it possible for the CEDEA to continue to be a European benchmark in its field with the highest quotas of technification currently in existence.
