Ground Segment Engineering

Among the most important projects of this department we find:

• Ingenio and Paz national satellites
  Definition and feasibility studies of the Ground Segment for these domestic satellites. Year 2005-2008. These studies have been realized for INTA and for ESA. In addition, INSA was selected for the turnkey project for the installation of a TT&C and image reception station in INTA.
• DSA3
  Preliminary works in Malargüe for the installation of the third deep space station of ESA. Year 2010.
• AMAZONAS 2
  Upgrade of the TTC station and the new carriers monitoring stations for AMAZONAS 2. Year 2008-2009.
• XTAR GCS
  Ground segment for the X band communications satellite XTAR-EUR. Year 2001-2005. Integrated by three stations of TT&C, emergencies and angular measuring.
• SMOS
  Reception and process centre for the Earth observation satellite. Year 2006.
• DSA2
  Installation of the second ESA’s deep space station in Cebreros in collaboration with SES. Year 2005-2006.
• Upgrade of satellite tracking systems
  design and upgrade of Ground Segment facilities at INTA, ESA and NASA stations. Year 2006-2007.
