Consultancy, Certification and Testing activities

INSA’s Consultancy, Certification and Testing activities have grown spectacularly during the last years.

INSA provides technical support and consultancy services in the following companies/institutions:

• Spain Defence Office: technical assistance to the several organisms of DGAM. In particular, INSA is providing consultancy services to the satellite program of the General Sub-Directorate for Planning and Programmes, to frequency coordination activities for the same directorate and the EMACOM/CIS division, to the General Sub-directorate of Standardization, and to the research programs of the General Sub-directorate for Centres and Technologies.
• Assistance to JPL/NASA: INSA's Telecommunications Department collaborates with the Ground Stations Department in the development of a supervision system for JPL/NASA in NASA’s ground space complexes. . INSA works also in a software project for antenna pointing for JPL/NASA in the same complex.
• INTA: INSA gives services to INTA in different work areas. The most important activities are: Information Technologies, Aircraft and vehicles certification, renewable energies and space missions.
• ITM (Instituto Tecnológico La Marañosa): INSA realices different support activities related to several laboratories.
• EADS-CASA-ESPACIO: Antenna reflectors installed in the Amazonas 2 communications satellite design and fabrication, using radiofrequency engineering.
• EADS-CASA, Aeronautical Tests and Certification: At the end of 2004 INSA reached agreements for Aircraft certification with INTA and for structural tests with EADS-CASA; both activities started in 2005. (A-380 y A-400 Programs, Tests systems department, Engineering department, Vibrations Group).
